1. Hungarian Mint Ltd. plans to execute sales of the St. Stephen collector gold coin with a face value of 500,000 forints and a restricted production run of 500 pieces planned to be issued by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank on 11 January 2021 as the first coin in the series “National-building sovereigns of the Árpád Dynasty” (hereinafter: St. Stephen commemorative gold coin or Coin) by way of a random drawing performed in the presence of a public notary.
  • The organizer of the drawing for the purchase of the St. Stephen collector gold coin is Hungarian Mint Ltd. (registered office: 1239 Budapest, Európa út 1., tax ID number: 10773965-2-43), hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”.
  • In relation to the Drawing, data management shall be performed by the Organizer as the data controller (hereinafter: “Data Controller”), and the image, design and programming work related to performance of the Drawing shall be performed by Petrocelli Reklámügynökség Kft. (registered office: 1119 Budapest, Károly Ireneusz József u. 9.; tax ID no.:14330867-2-43, (hereinafter: “Event Manager” and “Data Processor”).
  • The object of the Drawing is 450 pieces of the St. Stephen collector gold coin, produced and offered for sale at the price announced by the Organizer.
  • Execution of the Drawing and participation in such shall occur in accordance with these Regulations.


  1. Who may participate in the Drawing?

2.1 Participation in the Drawing is open to all Hungarian or foreign natural persons aged 18 or over (hereinafter: Participants), who submit a statement of intent to purchase which complies with the provisions of Point 4.1 of these Regulations and is valid for the duration of the Drawing. The Participants expressly accept all of the conditions stated in the Regulations.


  1. Duration of the Drawing

The registration period described in Point 4.1 shall last from Monday, 16 November 2020 until 5 pm CET on Tuesday, 15 December 2020 (this may deviate slightly depending on network speed).

On its Web site, the Organizer shall announce the start of the Registration process, announce such to participants in a newsletter and publish it at the Coin Shop located at its business offices.

The time of the Drawing shall be 9 am CET on the day following the day of the Coin’s issuance. The MNB plans to issue the Coin on 11 January 2021.The Drawing shall be held at the Organizer’s business premises: 1054 Budapest, Báthory u. 7. The Drawing is not open to the public.


  1. Procedure and conditions of the Drawing

4.1. Participants may take part in the Drawing as follows:

The Organizer shall create a registration interface on the Webpage

Participants indicate their intent to purchase using this registration interface by filling out the registration form, including the name, address, e-mail and telephone contact information.

The system will send a written confirmation of registration to the Participants.

Registration is only valid if the system confirms it upon accepting the registration or sends written confirmation by e-mail to the Participant.

Only one (1) statement of purchase intent for a Coin may be submitted by each Participant.

The Organizer may exclude participants who provide untrue information from the Drawing.

The Organizer bears no liability for any incorrect information provided by the Participant.

The Organizer and the Event Manager bear no liability whatsoever for disputes in relation to authorization to use an e-mail address in relation to the Drawing.


4.2. Selection of Winners

At the location and time specified above in Point 3 and in the presence of a public notary, the Organizer shall conduct a random drawing from the Participants submitting registrations valid for the Drawing period to determine the persons entitled to purchase (“Winners”).

450 “Winners” and 10 main “Substitute Winners” shall be drawn.

Up until the time when the winners are announced, the Organizer can exclude a Participant from the Drawing, if the Participant does not meet the conditions specified in these Regulations.

The Organizer may also exclude from the Drawing Participants who cannot be contacted in accordance with Point 4.3. of these Regulations.

The Organizer reserves the right to exclude from any present or future drawings Participants who demonstrably hack into the Internet page, or use bots or spam programs or other methods of fraud to gain an advantage in the course of the Drawing.

With participation in the Drawing, the Participant acknowledges that the contents and performance of the Drawing and the messaging, transmission and speed of reply depends on the technology being employed and thus these aspect may be adversely impacted by factors outside of the control of the Organizer and the Event Manager, including (but not limited to) communication errors, the performance of the server computers and maintaining secure network connections. The Organizer and Event Manager shall not bear any liability stemming from the aspects described in this paragraph.


4.3. Purchase of the Coin

The Winning Participants can take delivery of the Coin they wish to purchase as follows:

The Organizer shall electronically notify the Winners and post the list of Winners on the Webpage on the day following the Drawing: 9am CET on 13 January 2021. The Organizer will provide information in relation to the Drawing over the phone at: +36-1-211-20-65.

Winners of the Drawing who are residents of Hungary may only purchase the Coin in person at the Organizer’s coin shop (1052 Budapest, Báthory u. 7.), using cash, bank card or bank transfer. Payment by bank transfer can also be selected; in this case, please indicate (by e-mail) this method of payment in response to our notification e-mail on purchasing the Coin. In the event of payment by bank transfer, payment must be made in advance, in respect of which we will send a request for advance payment by e-mail to Winners who indicate their intention to use this method of payment. The Coin may be picked up at the advertised price starting from 26 January 2021 (during the Coin Shop’s business hours).

The Organizer shall organize postal delivery for Winners residing outside of Hungary. Delivery costs: EMS Speed Post, up to a value of HUF 1 million: maximum HUF 50,000.

If acceptance fails to occur within the specified deadline, the Winner’s right to purchase the Coin shall lapse. The next “Substitute Winner” shall take their place, and the Organizer shall notify such party of the purchase opportunity.


  1. Miscellaneous provisions

The Organizer reserves the right to alter or revoke these Regulations at any time, while posting the amended regulations on the Drawing’s Webpage.

In the event that a suspicion of fraud arises, the Organizer reserves the right to request information from any Participant to investigate such suspicions or to suspend or exclude the Participant from the Drawing.

Participants acting in bad faith are required to reimburse any damages caused to the Organizer and/or Event Manager in relation to the Drawing.

In the event that these Regulations do not establish rules for a question, the prevailing legal provisions shall apply.

In the event that the Participant does not accept any provision of these Regulations or raises objections to such, said Participant shall not be entitled to participate in the Drawing or shall be immediately excluded from the Drawing.
