Please be informed, that the PURCHASING RIGHT DRAWING pre-order for the 2021 St. Stephen collector gold coin issued by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank ended at 5 pm, on 15 December. No further pre-orders are accepted.
King Saint Stephen
The Magyar Nemzeti Bank is launching a series of new collector coins.
The first coin in the Magyar Nemzeti Bank’s series “Nation-building sovereigns of the Árpád Dynasty” to be launched on 11 January 2021 will be the 2021 collector coin “King Saint Stephen”. This pure gold coin (Au.999) with a face value of 500,000 forint will be produced in a maximum of 500 pieces.
The price is an indicative selling price which will be specified on the day of the draw based on the world market price of gold at the time of issue and on the demand.
Preparing for the strong interest, Hungarian Mint Ltd. intends to sell this coin by way of a drawing for purchasing rights. The draw shall apply to 450 pieces.
Pre-registration is necessary for purchase, and the purchasers who may purchase the Saint Stephen collector coin will be selected in a drawing from the registrants, under the supervision of a public notary.
The registration period shall last from Monday, 16 November 2020 until 5 pm CET on Tuesday, 15 December 2020 (this may deviate slightly depending on network speed).
Time of the Drawing: 9 am CET on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, the day following issuance of the collector coin.
The list of winners can be accessed on the www.szentistvanarany.hu webpage from 9 am CET on Wednesday, 13 January 2021 and Winners will be notified by e-mail.
The Drawing shall be held at the Organiser’s business premises: 1054 Budapest, Báthory u. 7.
Coins may be picked up starting from 26 January 2021 (during the Coin Shop’s business hours until 3:30 pm).
